Rick Herrema Foundation

Rick Herrema Foundation

The Rick Herrema Foundation (RHF) strengthens relationships and builds community for The Military Family through fun, quality activities.

Rick’s Place is a 50-acre interactive greenspace 5.5 miles from Ft. Bragg. We are open dawn-to-dusk and free for The Military Family and those who serve the Military Family (definition below). Rick’s Place is the first of what we hope will be many interactive retreat centers around the US near military bases where service members experience numerous deployment cycles and seek to reintegrate after deployments.

A New Leash On Life

A New Leash On Life

Where 4 dogs at a time get a second chance. Based in Spindale NC, they are trained by 8 inmates every 8 weeks learning basic manners, socialization and tricks! Before "graduating" and going home with wonderful new forever homes, they are evaluated as AKC Canine Good Citizens.

The public is able to adopt these amazing dogs - fully vetted and trained - for a very reasonable adoption fee. New Leash dogs have found homes in neighboring states and as far away as WV, NY, OK, RI and FL.

NCServes

NCServes

AmericaServes is the country's first coordinated system of public, private, and non-profit organizations working together to serve veterans, service members, and their families. Our vision is that every service member, Veteran, and their family can easily access the full range of comprehensive services required to achieve their unique goals, and to provide a first-class service experience to match service member and veterans' first class military service.

Unique in geographic scope and coverage, the Southeast Regional Community of Practice represents a well-connected group of providers across the Carolinas. Four regional NCServes networks and SCServes now cover much of the key population and installation communities across the Carolinas.
